This fragile specimen consists of light gray fibrous Cerussite crystals in radial patterns, on a thin crust of opaque light gray matrix. The occurrence of Cerussite, a lead carbonate, in fibrous form is somewhat rare. The Coeur d'Alene district of Idaho has long been a productive area for silver and lead ore. |
