Heavy sample of pearly white (though dirty) opaque columnar massive barite with gray metallic massive galena present. Some areas of the barite are stained pink. This sample is included in the Catalogue of the Collection of Minerals in the College of S. C. and can be found on page 17. It was a part of the college's original acquisition from Thomas Cooper in 1821. |
