Object Description |
Rock fragment composed largely of dark blue opaque massive lazulite with colorless massive quartz, unknown feldspars and muscovite mica. The entire specimen is stained throughout with iron rich red clay, probably from the breakdown of iron rich minerals in the parent rock. This sample is included in the Catalogue of the Collection of Minerals in the College of S. C. and can be found on page 45. |
