Object Description |
Five valves in total, four of which form two complete freshwater mussel specimens. The valves are thin and elongated making a very narrow ellipse shape. The exterior of the valves are dark brown to black in color with a green hue. Along with horizontal growth lines, the exterior of the valves also have vertical straitions that radiate from the white hinges of the valves to their edges. The interior of the valves are white in color with a pearlescent hue. |
