Object Description |
Two valves comprising one complete marine bivalve. The shells are tan to ivory in color, with a slightly iridescent, silver to ivory color inside. The shells have a small amount of silver interior nacre and a thin periostracum. The shells have patches of brown periostracum near their edges. The shells are elongated, ellipses with blunt beaked anterior edges and are covered with growth lines, striations, and small nodules. The shells have very shallow muscle scars and large hinge teeth. |
