Object Description |
Two valves comprising one complete freshwater mussel specimen. The exterior of the valves are brown in color and have spots of white that become more concentrated near the hinges of the valves. Horizontal growth lines and thin striations radiate from the hinges of the shells to their edges. The interior of the valves are off-white in color and are spotted with muted yellow circles. |
