Object Description |
One turbinate, marine snail shell. The exterior of the shell is tan in color with brown streaks and is covered with growth lines, striations, and ribs. The interior of the shell is tan in color. The shell has seven whorls, deep, well-defined sutures and a semicircular shaped aperture. the aperture has thick lips that are slightly reflected onto the base of the shell and a short siphonal canal. The dextral shell has a pointed apex and a wide axis of coiling. |
