Object Description |
Eight valves comprising four complete saltwater clam specimens. The shells are thin and triangular in shape. The exterior coloration consists of a light tan base with slightly darker concentric growth lines. Color radiating bands extend from the beak to the outer margins. The margins are smooth. The interiors of the shells are white with coloration from the growth lines showing through. A small portion of a darker brown periostracum can be seen on the exterior of shells 21-318.1-2. The shells have pointed posterior edges and pointed anterior edges. |
