Object Description |
Eight saltwater clam valves. The exteriors are brown to tan in color. The shells have shallow ribs and are covered with spines, growth lines and a thin periostracum. The interiors are glossy and iridescent in appearance and tan to purple in color. The shells have very shallow muscle scars, no noticeable hinge teeth, and are translucent. The triangular shaped shells have pointed posterior edges and rounded anterior edges. |
