The interior is varying shades of iridescent greens and purples (mother of pearl) and also shows faint growth lines and striations.   3. Haliotis cyclobates

    One abalone, marine snail shell. The exterior of the shell is tan in color, with the inside being iridescent shades of pink and green (mother of pearl). The exterior of the shell is convex and covered in small nodulesand four open respiratory apertures along the anterior margin radiating from the apex. The apex is slightly elevated and has three whorls.

    Two flattened oval, abalone marine snail shells. The dorsal side is a dark tan with a highly irridescent white, yellow, and pink (mother of pearl) ventral side. The largest specimen has five open and six closed respiratory apertures with the smaller having six open and five closed respiratory apertures. Growth lines are visible as well as malleations and striae that radiate from the apex.

    One abalone, marine snail shell. The shells exterior is a light tan in color with deep striations and nodules radiating from the apex. The convex exterior also has twelve open respiratory apertures, nine of which are open. The shell has two whorls that meet a slightly elevated apex. The interior of the shell is varying shades of iridescent pink and green (mother of pearl).

  6. Haliotis roei

    One auriform, abalone marine snail shell. Shell is dark brown and a very light tan with a dusky red area along the outer dorsal lip of the aperture. Inside is an ridescent pink and green (mother of pearl). The aperture is dextral and open to the point the inside is almost completely exposed. The eight open respritory apertures protrude slightly with nine+ closed respiratory apertures present.
